Saturday

Oh, the fun and exciting things we do over the weekends!!

This is what happens when I ask Kirk to vacuum. Apparently I didn't specify WHAT he should vacuum.

Later Saturday afternoon we went to Weber Farm, which is just up the road from our house, for a little seasonal entertainment. And to be honest, we actually went for things like cider donuts and caramel apples.

Goats really find salt treated wood tasty!

Mmmm. Donuts. And they were still warm.

The pumpkins on our front porch.

The Best

Sometimes, after a long week at work, you just have to come home on a Friday afternoon and take a nap with your dog. Whether he likes it or not.

Happy New Year

It has been over a month since my last post! So, this is a belated New Year's post. I think we just had the first (maybe second) snow of 2008 yesterday. Just a few pics:

Dog-sitting

This weekend (and for the next week or so) we're dog-sitting. Roan and Harry could really care less about each other. They do, however, care that I make them go outside from time to time. They are more of the couch-potato types. Harry also has a special passion for staring at himself for long periods of time in my vanity mirror.

While the puppies were busy staring at me and being sad that I wasn't playing with them, I managed to get a few craft projects done. Here are two autumn pins I made for fun. I also finished two more cup cozy designs (see that earlier cup cozy posting...I just added them there). I started on a sewing project that is much fussier than I had anticipated. And I also almost completed some early autumn Sadie Priss pendants....perhaps they'll be done later this week.

Howl-o-ween!

Summer's really over, isn't it? I mean, it's still warm outside, but the spirit of summer is gone. Deflated. Boo-hoo. In the spirit of autumn, I finally got around to playing with this paper-mache house I bought back in July. It was a very fun diversion from my usual crafty projects.

Poor, poor, Roan. He probably shouldn't be left alone with his daddy anymore. I work on craft projects and Roan just lays in the floor. Kirk takes him outside while he's working on something, and next thing you know.....Roan has a yellow jacket on his head! Roan howled and tried to get it off before it stung him, but he wasn't fast enough. Poor little swollen eye (his left eye). Kirk promised to make Roan bacon for breakfast in the morning to make up for it.

Very first post

So, I'm taking a stab at creating a blog. It's something I've been wanting to do for awhile now but haven't had the chance to start. I like that my shoes match my blog (see heading photo)! I'm not sure what all I'm going to be posting but I'm pretty sure it's going to involve adventures in photography, travel, Roan, random craft experiments, a little baking here and there, and my Sadie Priss jewelry designs. Obviously, I'm doing this entirely to entertain MYSELF. :)
