In addition to finding success in Bacon Jam recently, I found another really neat recipe for BBQ pickles on the same blog as the recipe I used for the bacon jam. It looks like all my Christmas gifts are going to be pork/bbq related! The pickles were really easy to make. I used George's BBQ sauce that I have friends and relatives bring from NC (you can get it in Food Lion stores). Just make sure get a vinegar, Eastern NC style BBQ sauce. Not a brown sugar or Memphis style sauce. That's not going to work out so well. My husband even liked them and he's notoriously picky!
They'll likely get the same packaging treatment as the bacon jam so I went ahead and whipped up a little label.
